Fun time in Philly

Did the Sip of Philly Tour. Guide was good. Beer was good. Transportation was smooth. Worth it for a fun day out.

Good tour, minor transportation issue

I booked the Original Brew Tour in Boston for a Saturday afternoon. The breweries themselves were great, and our guide was really knowledgeable about the local beer scene. We got to try a lot of different styles, and the food pairing was a nice touch. The only hiccup was the transportation; the van was a bit cramped, and we had to wait a few minutes longer than expected between stops. Overall, it was a fun experience and good value for what we paid, but they could probably improve the comfort of the ride.

Consistently good experience

This was my third time using City Brew Tours, this time for the Sip of Portland Tour. I've done their tours in other cities before, and they're always reliable. The guides are consistently engaging, and the brewery selections are well-curated. They keep things fresh by rotating some of the stops, which is nice if you're a repeat customer like me. Transportation was on time, and the beer quality was excellent as usual. They've maintained their standards, which is why I keep coming back.

Detailed feedback on NYC tour

My friends and I did the Sip of New York City Tour recently. Booking online was straightforward; I got a confirmation email right away. Our guide met us at the designated spot promptly. The group size was manageable, about 12 people. We visited three different breweries, each with a distinct vibe, which I appreciated. At each stop, we had generous pours and learned a bit about their brewing process. The lunch provided was simple but hit the spot. Transportation between breweries was in a comfortable mini-bus, and the driver navigated the city traffic pretty well. I found the guide's commentary informative without being overly academic, striking a good balance. The overall flow of the day felt relaxed but well-paced. Only minor point was one of the breweries was a bit crowded, but that's NYC for you. I'd recommend it for anyone wanting an easy way to explore the craft beer scene.

Great value for a birthday tour

I was looking for something different for my birthday and found the Birthday Brewery Tour. I snagged a discount for off-peak booking which made it even better. For the price, visiting three breweries with tastings and a meal included felt like a steal. It was well-organized, and our guide kept things lively. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth and then some. Glad I didn't pay full price, but even at full price, it seemed like a solid deal.

Just curious if these tours are actually legit. Like, are they well organized and do they really get you into good breweries?

Totally legit. I did the NYC one and it was super organized, the guide knew their stuff and we hit some great spots I wouldn't have found on my own. Plus, VIP access is no joke, skipping lines was awesome.

Yeah, they've been around for a while, like since 2008 or something? They're not some fly-by-night operation. They're usually partnered with well-known breweries.

Hey, thinking of booking a tour in Philly for my buddy's bachelor party. Does City Brew Tours offer any kind of special discount for that, or for larger groups generally?

S Sam Anderson 1 month ago
Yeah they totally do! My brother used them for his bachelor party in Boston and got a pretty sweet deal for the group. I think it was like 10-15% off for private events, you just gotta check their site or call them.

They usually have group discounts for private tours. I saw something about bachelor/bachelorette party deals last month when I was looking at gift cards for my dad. It'll probably pop up at checkout if you put enough people in, or you might need a specific code.
